This Spring Break opportunity to Romania will allow you to discover the beauty of the country and the friendliness of its people. At the same time, you will get an insight into the issues facing many of the vulnerable and unwanted children with whom we work, and have a chance to contribute to their support and development.
Spend your weekends discovering one of Europe’s most beautiful landscapes as you are flanked by the Carpathian Mountains in rural Transylvania. You are also within an easy distance of large tourist cities like Brasov – which is a great city to explore over the weekend
Your group will fly out together and be picked up from the airport from where you will be taken to your accommodation. When you arrive at your accommodation you can relax and settle in and then there will be enough time for a lovely welcome dinner together!
After an induction and orientation, your group will be assigned tasks, split between renovation work and teaching/playing with the children. The aim of the project is to bring some fun to the childrens summer holidays and to act as valued adults and mentors. The renovation of their care homes also helps to improve their standard of living.
Today we travel to Brasov to experience the traditional Romanian city. Brasov is famous for being home to the remains of some of the countries castles and the Dracula story.
Transfer from your hotel to the airport in plenty of time for early morning return flight. Expedition ends – make sure you have taken lots of photos!
